Anyone else feeling the vibe shift at Packaging Corp?

Been with Packaging Corp for about 5 years now, working in the supply chain division. Lately, things just feel... off. We've had a few 'reorganizations' and some budget cuts, but nothing concrete like official layoff notices. Still, the whispers are there, and the general atmosphere is definitely more tense. My manager's been cagey when asked about future projects, and there's been a noticeable increase in people updating their LinkedIn profiles. Anyone else in different departments picking up on this? Is it just my team, or is there a broader unease spreading through the company? Trying not to panic, but it's hard when the silence is so loud.

Yeah, I'm in procurement and definitely feel it too. It's like a low hum of anxiety that wasn't there a year ago. Management is giving vague answers about 'streamlining operations' but it translates to more work with fewer resources. Saw a lot of people polishing resumes last quarter, but no one's talking specifics. Just a feeling that the good times might be winding down a bit.

Interesting you say that. I'm in IT and things seem pretty status quo. Maybe it's department-specific? We just got approval for some new software upgrades, and my team's actually growing. Could be that some divisions are feeling the pinch more than others. Don't want to dismiss your feelings, but haven't seen the same 'vibe shift' on my end. Wonder what's driving it?
