PAC - Overtime becoming the norm? Red flag?

So, overtime hours have been creeping up in my team at Packaging Corp. It's not just me, either. A few other departments I've talked to are seeing the same thing. No official announcements about cutbacks or layoffs, but this constant push to get more done with fewer resources is starting to feel like a classic precursor. Are they trying to keep headcount low by burning through the existing staff? It's making it hard to have any kind of work-life balance. We're all putting in extra hours, and while management is saying it's just 'peak season' or 'project deadlines', it feels more systemic. Is anyone else experiencing this? What's the general sentiment out there? Concerned this might be a slow burn towards significant headcount reduction down the line. Wondering if this is a sign to start quietly looking elsewhere, or if this is just the new normal for the industry.
