PAC - Quiet periods and budget freezes?

Another month, another quiet period at Pac-Corp. Seriously, it feels like we're in suspended animation. There's been a noticeable slowdown in new initiatives and even some existing projects seem to be on a tight leash. Budget requests are being scrutinized way more than usual, and approvals are taking ages, if they're happening at all. I'm not seeing any direct layoff announcements, which is actually kind of unnerving in its own way. You'd almost expect *something* if this was the direction things were headed. But this creeping slowdown, the lack of clear communication about the future, it's creating a lot of anxiety. People are definitely noticing. Conversations tend to be hushed, and there's a general sense of watching our backs. Is anyone else in the materials side of Pac-Corp experiencing this? Are there rumors of specific departments being hit harder or is it a broad freeze? Trying to get a sense of the landscape before I start updating my resume, but without any concrete news, it's hard to know what to prepare for.
