Worried about my role at Packaging Corp - anyone hearing anything?

Hey everyone, been with Packaging Corp for a few years now and lately, there's been this underlying hum of uncertainty. Leadership is being pretty tight-lipped about Q4 results and future plans. I've noticed a few more people talking about 'opportunities elsewhere' and some awkward silences in team meetings when budgets come up. My direct manager has been evasive when I've asked about team stability. Just wondering if anyone else is picking up on this vibe or has heard any whispers from the grapevine. Trying not to panic, but it's hard when the communication is so vague. Are there any specific departments that seem more vulnerable? Anyone have insight into the market conditions affecting our sector specifically? Any info would be appreciated. Just looking for some clarity or to know I'm not the only one feeling this way.

I'm in a similar boat. Been with PCA for a bit, and the lack of transparency lately is definitely unsettling. Management seems to be walking on eggshells, and even casual conversations about department headcounts have become a bit tense. I've tried to glean information from different sources, but it's like pulling teeth. Hopefully, it's just standard year-end jitters, but it feels more significant this time around.

I understand the concern. My department hasn't had any direct layoffs discussed, but there's been a noticeable slowdown in new projects and a freeze on non-essential spending. People are definitely feeling the pressure and are more open to exploring other options. It would be good to hear some concrete updates soon, as the ambiguity is making it hard to plan. Fingers crossed for some positive news.
