Feeling the ripple effect: Is anyone else being pushed out?

It’s been a couple of months since the mid-February WARN notice dropped, and honestly, the vibe in the office—or what’s left of it on Zoom—is just exhausting. I know the official numbers said 121, but it feels like the 'quiet cutting' never actually stopped. My team has lost two senior engineers in the last three weeks, and there wasn't a single internal announcement. Are we just waiting for the next quarterly results to see another wave? I’m seeing more 'open to work' banners on LinkedIn from former colleagues who were supposedly 'safe' during the initial round. The communication from leadership is nonexistent, and the constant fear of the next calendar invite being an HR exit meeting is killing my productivity. Is anyone else seeing these trickle-down departures, or is it just my department getting gutted quietly?

The 'quiet cutting' phase is definitely real, and it’s creating a massive morale drain. When senior folks just vanish without a word, it signals that leadership is prioritizing the bottom line over team stability. I’ve noticed the same pattern—people are getting burnt out from picking up the extra load while waiting for the next shoe to drop. It’s hard to stay motivated when you’re constantly looking over your shoulder wondering if you’re next on the spreadsheet. The silence from management is the loudest part of the whole experience.

I was affected in the last round, and honestly, seeing the ongoing lack of transparency is standard procedure now. Don't waste your energy trying to decode corporate memos; focus on updating your resume and networking outside the company immediately. Once the culture shifts toward 'attrition by design,' it rarely swings back the other way. Use the remaining access you have to pull any documentation or personal projects you might need, then get out before the next quarterly report forces their hand again. Good luck.
