Unfortunately, it's highly variable. Generally, companies don't accelerate vesting on unvested RSUs during layoffs. What you have vested is yours, of course. Some might offer a small extension to allow another vesting event to occur, but that's rare and usually tied to tenure or specific circumstances. Read your grant agreement *very* carefully; that's the definitive source. Start preparing your resume now just in case, and good luck.
From what I've seen and heard (mostly at other places), don't count on accelerated vesting. It rarely happens. Companies *might* be a bit more generous to long-time employees, but even then, it's not guaranteed. Focus on what you *do* have, and don't let the 'what ifs' consume you. Look for a new role before any potential announcement, because it is harder to get hired after a layoff.
