Morale at PMI - Anyone else feeling the pressure?

Lately, the atmosphere at PMI has felt a bit tense. There's been a lot of emphasis on cost-saving and 'streamlining operations,' which is fine in principle, but it's starting to impact day-to-day work. Some teams are stretched thin, and there's a sense of uncertainty about future headcount. I haven't seen any concrete layoff announcements, but the general mood feels a bit more cautious than usual. Has anyone else experienced this? Are there specific departments seeing more of this than others? Curious to hear if this is a company-wide sentiment or isolated incidents. Just trying to gauge the general feeling before things potentially get worse.

Yeah, I'm definitely feeling it too. The 'efficiency drives' seem to be translating into fewer resources and more work for those of us left. It creates a lot of background anxiety, even without official news. You start wondering where the cuts will fall next and how it will impact your own team's ability to deliver. Hopefully, it's just a temporary phase and not a sign of bigger shifts ahead.

I've noticed a similar vibe. It feels like a lot of talk about 'future growth' and 'innovation' is being overshadowed by the immediate need to cut costs. It's a strange disconnect. Some departments seem to be weathering it better than others, but the general feeling is one of watching your back. Management's communication on this hasn't exactly eased the tension, that's for sure.
