PMI - Anyone Else Feeling the Chill? Unexplained Departures & Role Changes

So, I'm not sure if this is a layoff yet, but things feel... off at PMI. Over the last month, I've seen a few people in other departments suddenly 'move on' without much fanfare. They weren't necessarily underperformers, which makes it strange. Then there are the role changes that seem to come out of nowhere, with responsibilities being shuffled around like a deck of cards. No one's officially saying 'layoff,' but the pattern is starting to look familiar from past experiences. It feels like they're trimming the fat, or maybe more than fat, without a big announcement. Anyone else in different divisions noticing similar quiet exits or reshuffling? Is it just me, or is there a definite 'downsizing' vibe in the air? Curious to hear if anyone has concrete info or has heard anything more direct, even if it's just office gossip. Trying to stay calm but it's hard not to worry.

My advice? Focus on your own performance and be prepared for anything. It's smart to keep your resume updated, even if nothing official is announced. It’s a competitive market out there, and staying adaptable is key.

That's concerning to hear. The lack of transparency around these departures and role shifts is what gets me. When good people are suddenly gone and responsibilities are in flux without explanation, it creates a lot of anxiety for everyone remaining. It’s hard to feel secure when the ground seems to be constantly shifting beneath your feet. Hope you get some clarity soon.
