Anyone else notice a weird vibe with recent projects at Progressive?

Just putting this out there. I've been with Progressive for a while now, and lately, the energy feels... off. Project scopes seem to be shrinking, and there's a definite 'hunker down' mentality that wasn't there before. My team's been pushing back on some deliverables because we feel like we're being asked to do more with less, and the messaging from upper management feels a bit evasive when we ask about long-term strategy. It's not just my department; I've heard similar rumblings from friends in other areas too. Anyone else picking up on this? Trying to gauge if it's just my perception or if something's shifting more broadly. Curious to hear other perspectives.

I've definitely felt that shift too. It's like the company's trying to be cautious, which I get, but it's making it hard to feel motivated. We're constantly being told to be efficient, but it feels like efficiency is just a code word for doing more with fewer resources. The lack of clear direction on the bigger picture is pretty concerning, makes you wonder what the end game is.

Interesting you bring this up. While I haven't seen drastic scope changes, there's a definite air of uncertainty. It feels like a lot of projects are being put on hold or scaled back prematurely. Management's communication could certainly be more transparent about why these decisions are being made. It’s tough to stay engaged when the purpose behind our work feels like it’s constantly in flux.
