Yeah, I'm hearing similar things over in the PLM side, though maybe a bit less intensely. It's true, the language has shifted. Less about innovation and more about streamlining. My team's been told our Q4 targets are 'ambitious but achievable' which, after a few years here, I translate to 'don't get too comfortable'. I'm updating my resume just in case the 'evaluating all options' means more than just a few new hires.
Honestly, I think you might be reading too much into it. Companies go through cycles. 'Synergies' and 'efficiency' are just corporate buzzwords that pop up every few years. Budget reviews happen, especially in this economic climate. Unless there's concrete news, I wouldn't start panicking. Focus on your work, deliver results, and stay positive. That's usually the best defense no matter what.
