PTC - Anyone else feeling the economic chill?

Hey all, Just been lurking here for a bit, but wanted to reach out. Seeing a lot of chatter across the tech industry about slowdowns and layoffs, and while there's nothing concrete at PTC that I've heard of, it's hard not to feel a bit uneasy. My team's been pretty busy, but the general vibe feels different than it did even a few months ago. Fewer new projects kicking off, more emphasis on 'efficiency.' Is anyone else picking up on this? Thinking about polishing up my resume and starting to look around passively, just to have options open. Not panicking, but it feels prudent given the broader market. Curious to hear if others are feeling this or if I'm just overthinking it. Any signals from leadership or within your departments?

Yeah, I'm feeling it too. It's definitely a shift from the hiring frenzy we saw a year or two ago. Lots more questions about ROI on new initiatives and a general tightening of the purse strings. While my workload hasn't dropped, the *type* of work seems to be leaning more towards maintaining existing systems or smaller, more critical improvements rather than big, splashy new developments. It's not panic stations yet, but the mood is more cautious for sure. Good idea to keep an eye on things and be prepared.

I hear you. My department has definitely seen a slowdown in external client requests and even some internal projects getting put on the back burner. The 'efficiency' talk is constant, and there's a lot more scrutiny on budgets. It's not just PTC either, seems to be a wider trend. Makes sense to stay aware of the market and what opportunities might be out there, just in case things do shift more significantly. Better to be proactive than reactive.
