Hey everyone, been feeling a bit uneasy lately. Seeing some signals that might indicate a hiring freeze or at least a significant slowdown. My team's been told to hold off on backfills, and a couple of new requisitions I was expecting to open haven't materialized. Just wondering if anyone else is noticing this across different departments or if it's just my specific area. The news about chip sales hasn't exactly been inspiring confidence, so trying to get a sense of the broader picture here at QCOM. Any insights or rumors would be appreciated. Trying not to jump to conclusions but the vibe is definitely shifting.

Yeah, I'm hearing similar things. My department also put a pause on non-essential hiring, and some projects that were previously greenlit are now in review. It's definitely a company-wide sentiment, not just isolated incidents. The market is tough right now, and I think leadership is being cautious.

Interesting that you're seeing that too. While I haven't been directly told about a freeze, there's a noticeable shift in how new roles are being approved. It's taking a lot longer, and there's more scrutiny. Seems like everyone's bracing for a tighter budget cycle ahead.
