Did anyone get the axe in recent weeks?

Checking in here because I've been hearing some really quiet, almost hushed conversations around the office, and also seeing some odd LinkedIn activity. Not a big company-wide announcement, but more like specific teams or individuals suddenly gone. My manager has been super vague about headcount, which is a red flag for me. Usually, there's some noise or at least a hint, but this feels more surgical. Anyone on here actually affected or know someone who was? Trying to understand if this is isolated or a wider trend we're not being told about directly. Any info, even rumors, would be appreciated. Trying to prepare myself mentally.
