Good info, thanks for sharing! My buddy left Qualcomm for MediaTek a couple years ago and is loving it. He said the work-life balance is way better and he's getting to work on some really cutting-edge stuff. Plus, MediaTek seems to be making some serious moves in the market, so it could be a good time to jump ship before things get too crazy at Qualcomm. I've updated my resume, just in case.
Take everything with a grain of salt. Recruiters are *always* looking for talent, and Qualcomm folks are generally well-trained. Doesn't necessarily mean anything is changing internally. MediaTek's been "expanding" in San Diego for like, a decade. But yeah, can't hurt to keep an eye on the market, especially if you're feeling stagnant where you are. Always good to know your worth!
