New grad offers drying up - anyone else seeing this?

Been scrolling through levels.fyi and it feels like the number of fresh grad offers being posted has dropped significantly compared to last year. I'm a graduating senior EE and thought Qualcomm would be a top place to land, but maybe things are tighter than I thought? My school's career fair also felt a bit more subdued from the recruiters I spoke to. Is anyone else who's still interviewing seeing this? Feels like the entry-level market might be cooling off faster than expected, especially with all the talk about the broader semiconductor market.

Yeah, I'm seeing it too. It's definitely disheartening. I've been applying pretty consistently since last fall, and the interview callbacks feel much sparser this year. Qualcomm was definitely on my list, so your post resonates. I've heard some general chatter about hiring freezes or slowdowns in certain sectors, and it's making me wonder if the entry-level roles are hit the hardest. Hang in there, though. It's a tough market, but persistence is key. Maybe try networking more actively, even if it feels like a long shot.

Honestly, I'm not sure I'm seeing the same thing. I landed an offer from a company that's typically pretty competitive for new grads just last month. It took a lot of applications and a few rejections, but it felt about the same as last year. Qualcomm might have specific internal issues or a different hiring cycle. Have you looked at other companies in the semiconductor space? It's possible the market isn't universally cooling, but rather shifting. Focus on tailoring your resume and practicing behavioral questions – those always make a difference regardless of market conditions.
