So, I just wrapped up my performance review, and it felt a lot more intense than usual. The feedback was constructive, but there was a definite emphasis on 'efficiency' and 'streamlining'. It wasn't negative, but it wasn't the usual 'great job, let's keep it up' either. Combined with the general market slowdown and the news about smartphone sales, it's got me wondering if this is how they're prepping the ground for potential workforce adjustments. Has anyone else felt a shift in the tone or focus during recent reviews? Trying to gauge if this is a company-wide thing or just my specific group. Any insights would be appreciated.

Yeah, I noticed that too. The focus on 'efficiency' and 'streamlining' definitely felt like a shift from previous cycles. It wasn't bad feedback, just... more pointed, I guess?
