This SUCKS. Just venting about the constant uncertainty.

Seriously, I'm so over this. Every few months it's the same song and dance – layoff rumors, budget cuts, reorgs, and the general feeling of walking on eggshells. I've been with Qualcomm for 5 years, and it feels like it's been non-stop stress. How are we supposed to focus on innovation and building great products when we're constantly worried about losing our jobs? The constant pressure is killing morale and making everyone burn out. I'm actively looking for other opportunities. Rant over (for now).

I hear you loud and clear. I've been here a bit longer than you, and this cycle seems to be getting shorter and more intense. It's definitely affecting productivity. Honestly, I started mentally checking out a while ago, focusing on just getting my tasks done and going home. Not the ideal way to work, but it's self-preservation at this point. Good luck with your job search; I hope you find something less stressful.

While I sympathize, some of this is just the nature of the tech industry. Qualcomm is a huge player, and these big companies are constantly restructuring to stay competitive. Five years isn't exactly a lifetime. Have you considered talking to your manager about your concerns or looking into internal transfers to different teams or projects? Maybe a change of scenery within the company would help before jumping ship entirely.
