Feeling the pressure at RJ - anyone else?

Lately, the vibe in my department at Raymond James feels... intense. Not sure if it's just us or a broader sentiment, but there's been a lot of talk about 'efficiency' and 'streamlining.' Performance metrics seem to be under a microscope, and the quiet conversations in the breakroom are definitely more anxious than usual. I haven't heard any direct layoff rumors, and my manager hasn't said anything concrete, but the underlying tension is palpable. It makes you wonder what's really going on behind the scenes. Are budgets being squeezed? Are there internal restructuring plans we're not privy to yet? Just looking to see if others are picking up on similar signals or if I'm maybe overthinking things. Trying to stay positive but it's hard when the air feels thick with uncertainty.

I've noticed similar shifts here too. The focus on metrics has definitely ramped up, and it feels like everyone's walking on eggshells. Trying to stay positive and just focus on doing my best, but the general atmosphere is definitely a topic of conversation. Hopefully, it's just a temporary push.

Interesting to hear. While I haven't felt the exact same level of pressure in my area, the emphasis on 'efficiency' is definitely a company-wide theme. We've had a lot of internal comms about adapting to market changes and ensuring we're operating at peak performance. It's a tough environment out there for sure.
