Raymond James - Anyone Else's Team Lead "Re-evaluating Resources"?

So, my manager had a "team resource alignment" meeting yesterday and the phrase "optimizing our headcount for future growth" was used. Sounds like corporate speak for "we might not need all of you." It wasn't a layoff announcement, but it definitely raised some eyebrows. We were also told to "prepare for leaner times" and that any new initiatives will need "extraordinary justification." Has anyone else heard similar language from management? It's making me nervous, especially with the current market. Trying to figure out if this is just standard business talk or a prelude to something bigger. Just want to know if I should be updating my resume or if this is just a standard quarterly pep talk with a slightly more serious tone. Any insights from other departments would be helpful. Been seeing some older job postings disappear, but also some new ones popping up. It's confusing.
