Thoughts on Raymond James' current trajectory?

Been with Raymond James for a while now, and while I appreciate the stability the firm generally offers, I've been feeling a bit uneasy lately. There's been a noticeable lack of significant new initiatives or major client wins being announced internally. Plus, the usual recruitment drive for certain roles seems to have quieted down considerably. I'm trying to understand if this is a strategic pause, a response to broader market conditions, or if there's something more significant happening under the surface. Some of my peers have mentioned that career progression seems to be slowing down too, with fewer open positions for internal movement. Curious to hear from others who have been here for a while. Does this feel like a typical market correction, or is there a shift in the company's direction that I'm missing? Any insights would be appreciated.

I've noticed the same quietness. It's definitely made me wonder what the long-term game plan is. Hoping it's just a strategic holding pattern rather than a sign of deeper issues. The lack of external buzz, like major client acquisitions, does raise an eyebrow. Curious to hear if anyone else has insights from their direct teams.

My experience aligns with yours. The firm's solid reputation is a big draw, but the current lull in visible growth initiatives is a bit concerning. It's easy to attribute it to market headwinds, but the subdued hiring and absence of major news could signal a shift in internal priorities. Let's hope for some positive developments soon to boost confidence.
