I get where you're coming from. It's easy to feel like sustainability is just a marketing buzzword when you're looking at the sheer size and resource intensity of these vehicles. The materials alone are staggering. I wonder if there's a true accounting being done or if it's more about feeling good while still participating in consumerism.
I hear you on the virtue signaling, but I also think it's a tough balance. If they didn't highlight the environmental aspects, they'd probably get hammered for being just another gas-guzzling truck company (even though it's electric). It's a no-win situation in some ways. But maybe more transparency is needed about the full lifecycle impact of their vehicles, from mining to disposal.
