I totally get the anxiety. Been there. Besides the resume/networking, really document *everything* you've accomplished. Projects, positive feedback, metrics. Quantifiable achievements are gold. If layoffs hit, you can argue your value much more effectively. As for severance, it's tough. Know your rights, read the fine print, and be polite but firm. Sometimes persistence pays off.
Honestly, all this prep might be overkill. I know it's stressful, but Rivian seems to be stabilizing. Constant worry is exhausting. Instead of assuming the worst, focus on doing your best work. That's the best job security in the long run. And if layoffs DO happen, you'll be in a much stronger position anyway, knowing you gave it your all.
