Another Round at Robinhood - What's Going On?

Just saw the news about another 63 folks being let go. Seems like it was effective June 30th, and primarily in Menlo Park. This is getting to be a regular thing, isn't it? It's hard not to feel for everyone impacted. I've seen so many of these posts pop up on different sites, and it feels like a constant cycle of 'restructuring' and 'optimizing' that just leads to people losing their jobs. Does anyone have any insight into what's driving these frequent cuts? Is it market performance, internal strategy shifts, or something else entirely? It's tough to see a company that's been so prominent go through this repeatedly. Wondering if anyone who was directly affected wants to share (anonymously, of course) what the experience was like this time around. Stay strong, everyone.

It's definitely concerning to see these layoffs happening so frequently. The constant talk of 'restructuring' often feels like a euphemism for job losses, and it's tough to witness. I wonder if it reflects a broader trend in the fintech space, or if Robinhood is facing unique challenges. It makes you question the stability of even well-known platforms when this keeps happening. I hope those affected land on their feet quickly. It's a difficult market out there for everyone right now, and job security feels like a luxury.
