Is it time to update the resume...again?

I've been seeing more and more empty desks lately on the tech floor. It's giving me serious flashbacks to 2022. Anyone else noticing this? My project timelines have been shifting constantly, resources are getting pulled, and the overall mood feels super tense. I'm an engineer on the infra team, been here for almost 3 years, and this feels eerily similar to the lead-up to the last round of layoffs. I'm not trying to spread panic, but I also don't want to be caught off guard. Anyone got any tips on how to quietly update my resume and LinkedIn without raising any red flags? Thinking about focusing on my side projects to showcase my skills. Better to be prepared, right?

I feel you. I'm on the product side, and things feel shaky here too. Constant reprioritization meetings, projects getting slashed...it's exhausting. Honestly, dusting off the resume is never a bad idea, even if it's just to see what's out there and gauge your market value. Networking is key too - reach out to former colleagues or attend industry events. Better to be prepared than blindsided.

Three years is a good run. Honestly, Robinhood's volatility has always been a factor. Maybe it's just a rough patch. Companies go through cycles, and infrastructure is typically pretty essential. Don't jump the gun based on gut feeling. Focus on delivering solid work, document everything you do, and proactively communicate any roadblocks to your manager. Performance speaks volumes. If the ship sinks, at least you'll have some impressive achievements to show for it.
