I hear you. Been there, done that at a similar fintech. The 'promised resources' that never materialize is a classic. Start documenting everything – your hours, project scopes, missed deadlines due to understaffing, the VP's promises, etc. It protects you if things go south and gives you leverage for a better exit strategy. Also, discreetly update your resume. The market's still hot; don't let them burn you out completely before you explore other options.
Honestly, 60+ hours in fintech isn't exactly news. Two years ago was peak hype; things were bound to normalize. Maybe your expectations were a bit unrealistic going in? Every company has its issues, and 'urgent' projects are just part of the startup grind. Instead of just complaining, have you tried suggesting solutions? Proposing a more realistic roadmap or suggesting process improvements to your manager might be more effective than venting online.
