Ross - Performance expectations creeping up?

Anyone else at Ross feel like the expectations for performance have been quietly ratcheting up? It's not just about doing more with less, it feels like the bar for what's considered 'good' is getting higher and higher without any corresponding changes in compensation or resources. I'm in [mention a department vaguely, e.g., operations/merchandising/corporate support], and we're constantly being pushed to hit these aggressive targets. There's a lot of focus on efficiency and productivity metrics, which is fine, but it's starting to feel unsustainable. It's like they're trying to squeeze every last drop out of the current workforce before potentially making any bigger moves. I haven't seen any official layoff news, and honestly, I hope it doesn't come to that. But this constant push and the feeling of being stretched thin without adequate support is starting to wear on me. Makes you wonder what the long-term plan is. Anyone else feeling this squeeze and questioning the direction things are heading?

I've noticed that too, especially in [vaguely mention department]. It feels like the goalposts are always shifting. We're expected to be more efficient and productive than ever, but the tools and support haven't really kept pace. It's tough to feel like you're succeeding when the definition of success keeps changing and the demands increase without any clear path to get there. Just trying to keep up feels like a full-time job on its own.
