I've been at Ross for a while too, and I can relate to what you're saying. It does feel different. The hustle and bustle felt more like a team effort before, and now it's easier to feel like you're just a cog in the machine. I miss the days when people would just chat by the coffee machine and you'd feel more connected to what everyone else was working on. Now it's all about hitting those numbers, and sometimes it feels like we're not supporting each other as much.
Interesting take. I haven't been with Ross for as long, but I definitely notice a shift. The remote work aspect is tough for building those casual relationships. It's harder to bond when you're not bumping into people in the hallway or grabbing lunch together. I'm curious to see if management addresses this lack of connection, because it does impact morale and how you feel about coming to work each day.
