Ross Stores - What's the vibe with hiring freezes?

Hey everyone, Been working at Ross for a bit now, and while there haven't been any official announcements or anything crazy, I've been noticing some things that make me a little uneasy. Our department's been understaffed for a while, and it feels like instead of backfilling roles that have opened up, they're just distributing the workload among the remaining people. It's definitely getting harder to keep up with everything, and the pressure is mounting. On top of that, I've heard whispers about a potential hiring freeze, though nothing concrete. Has anyone else heard this or experienced something similar in their stores or corporate? Are managers being told to hold off on new hires? It's tough to say for sure because Ross is usually pretty tight-lipped, but the lack of new blood and the increased workload is definitely a concern. Curious to hear if anyone else is seeing this or has any insights. Just trying to get a sense of the temperature out there. Thanks for sharing.

Yeah, I've been feeling that too at my store. It's like they're trying to do more with less, and it's definitely putting a strain on the team. Management keeps saying 'efficiency,' but it just feels like we're drowning. Hope it's just a temporary thing and they get more people in soon, because this pace isn't sustainable long-term.

Interesting to hear others are noticing the same. My location has definitely seen a slowdown in hiring, and the existing staff is stretched thin. It's making customer service a bit challenging when everyone's rushing to get things done. Hopefully, it's a sign of them consolidating or planning something, rather than just cutting back drastically.
