Small things first, like travel approvals getting stricter, then training budgets slashed, and now even internal project funding seems to be under a microscope. It's not just me – I've overheard colleagues in other departments complaining about the same thing. It feels like someone's holding their breath somewhere, waiting for something to happen. The official line is always 'optimizing resources' or 'focusing on core priorities,' but it feels different this time. More like a cold wind blowing through. Anyone in support functions or R&D experiencing this? Curious if this is a precursor to something bigger or just the usual cyclical stuff. Definitely makes it harder to plan long-term.
