I've experienced something very similar with SLB recently. Made it to the final stage for a project engineer role, had a great conversation with the hiring manager, and then... nothing. It's been over a month, and I haven't heard a peep. I've sent follow-up emails that have gone unanswered. It's incredibly disheartening when you think you're on the verge of an offer, only to be left in the dark. It definitely makes you question their hiring process and overall communication standards. It's a shame because I was really excited about the potential opportunity.**
That's really disappointing to hear, but unfortunately, it aligns with some of my recent experiences with Schlumberger as well. I've had multiple instances where I progressed quite far in the interview process, sometimes even meeting with senior leadership, and then the communication just stops. No feedback, no rejection, just silence. It's not just unprofessional, it's a poor reflection on how they value candidates' time and interest. For a company of their stature, you'd expect a more transparent and respectful approach to recruitment.
