Schlumberger - 'Streamlining' operations or just cutting corners?
14
0x149a…8b27The buzzword lately is 'streamlining'. Sounds good on paper, right? Efficiency, optimization, all that jazz. But what it's translating to in my world is a lot of duplicated effort and less support. We're supposed to be integrating systems and processes, but it feels like we're just moving the goalposts and expecting the same output with fewer resources. My team's been pulled into cross-functional 'efficiency task forces' that seem to accomplish very little except adding more meetings to our already packed schedules. Meanwhile, critical tasks are getting delayed because key personnel are stuck in these pointless 'workshops'. Is anyone else feeling like this 'streamlining' is just a euphemism for something else?
