Yeah, I've noticed it too, but in a slightly different way. Overtime is approved, but it's much more scrutinized. You have to have a really solid justification now, and it's not just a free-for-all like it used to be. Feels like the purse strings are tighter. I wonder if it's a company-wide directive or if certain segments are feeling more pressure than others. Definitely impacting the take-home pay.
Same here, but my division is actually being *encouraged* to take overtime on specific projects that are critical. So it's not uniform. Maybe your area is less of a priority right now, or they're trying to redistribute resources? Management talk about 'efficiency' can mean a lot of things, and it's understandable why you'd be concerned when your paycheck feels the pinch. Worth keeping an eye on.
