SLB - Anyone else's training budget getting slashed?

Been noticing a lot of internal training programs being postponed or outright cancelled over the last quarter. My manager keeps saying 'resource reallocation' but it feels like more than that. We were supposed to have that advanced hydraulics course next month, and suddenly it's 'under review indefinitely'. Same goes for some of the software proficiency workshops. It's a bit concerning because this was always a big selling point for Schlumberger – the investment in employee development. Now it feels like we're being asked to do more with less knowledge, which is a recipe for mistakes down the line. Anyone else seeing their professional development opportunities dry up?

Yeah, I've seen similar things happening. The advanced hydraulics course was on my radar too, and hearing it's 'under review indefinitely' is pretty disappointing. It's definitely a shift from how things used to be. I'm hoping this is just a temporary adjustment and not a sign of a bigger trend. The investment in employee growth was a huge part of why many of us joined Schlumberger, so seeing those opportunities dwindle is a bit unsettling. Curious to see if others are experiencing this across different departments and regions, or if it's more localized.
