SLB - North America Field Operations Slowdown?

Hey all, been with SLB in the field in the US for a few years now. Lately, things have felt... quiet. Usually, we're scrambling to keep up with demand, but the last couple of months have seen a noticeable slowdown. Fewer call-outs, more downtime between jobs. Equipment's been sitting idle more than usual. Am I just in a slow patch or is anyone else in other divisions/regions seeing something similar? Trying to gauge if this is localized to my area or if it's a broader trend. Trying not to get ahead of myself, but the quietness is definitely making me a bit uneasy. Anyone got insights from management or heard any whispers?

I've been in the US field ops for SLB for about the same amount of time and I'm definitely feeling it too. It's been a significant shift from the frantic pace we've become accustomed to. Lots more downtime, and the urgency just isn't there on most calls. I've been wondering if it's a seasonal thing or if the broader market is starting to tighten up. Hard to say for sure, but it's definitely a noticeable change in the rhythm of operations.

Interesting to hear you're seeing a slowdown too. I'm in a different region but in a related field ops role, and while not as pronounced as you describe, we've also seen a slight dip in activity over the past quarter. Fewer extended projects and a bit more waiting between mobilization. Makes you wonder if there's a general recalibration happening across the industry or if it's specific to certain service lines. Hopefully, it's just a temporary lull before things pick back up.
