Another round of 'optimization'? Seriously?

I’m honestly exhausted. I came to ServiceNow for the stability and the 'platform' vision, but lately, it feels like the platform is just a giant machine for justifying layoffs. We keep hearing about record numbers and huge cloud expansion, yet every two months, there's another notification hitting the WARN database. It’s hard to stay motivated when your desk neighbor might be gone by the next sprint planning. Leadership keeps preaching about 'operational excellence,' but it’s clear that we’re just being managed for quarterly margin targets at this point. Anyone else feeling like the culture has completely evaporated? I used to be proud to say I worked here, but now I’m just keeping my head down and quietly updating my resume. The transparency isn't there, and the anxiety is becoming the primary driver of the office culture. How are you all dealing with the constant 'are we next' environment?

It is honestly soul-crushing to watch the culture deteriorate like this. I remember when we actually valued the 'platform of platforms' vision, but now every town hall meeting just feels like a masterclass in gaslighting. Leadership talks about operational excellence, but they clearly mean cutting the talent that actually keeps the instance running. It’s impossible to care about roadmap milestones or technical debt when you’re constantly looking over your shoulder. The stock price might be hitting records, but the human cost behind these 'optimizations' is becoming impossible to ignore.

I’ve been tracking the WARN notices too, and it’s a grim pattern. They preach innovation and growth in the cloud space, yet they treat the people building that cloud as disposable line items on a spreadsheet. It’s hard to stay engaged in sprint planning when you don’t know if your core team will even be intact by the next quarterly review. The disconnect between the executive rhetoric about our 'valued workforce' and the reality of these continuous layoffs is widening every single day. At this point, loyalty feels like a losing strategy.
