ServiceNow layoffs in SD - looking for insights beyond the news

So the news is out about the 63 layoffs at ServiceNow in San Diego last week. Beyond the official numbers, I'm curious about what people are hearing on the ground. Is this part of a larger trend within ServiceNow, or a specific strategic shift? For those of you in the SD office, how are things feeling now? Are teams being consolidated, or is there a hiring freeze across the board? Any insights into the roles or departments that were hit hardest would be really helpful for those of us trying to navigate this. It's unnerving to see these numbers, and I'm looking for a clearer picture of what this means for the company's trajectory and employee morale.

Hearing rumblings that this wasn't entirely out of the blue. Seems like some reorgs and role consolidations have been happening internally for a while, possibly to streamline certain product lines or focus on higher-growth areas. The SD office might have been hit harder due to the specific skill sets or project focus there. It's a tough situation for those affected, and hopefully, others can provide more granular details about team impacts or if a broader hiring pause is indeed in effect.
