ServiceNow San Diego: Impact on remaining employees?

Just seeing the news about the 63 layoffs in San Diego. Honestly, after the initial shock, I'm starting to worry more about the people who are still here. Is anyone else in SD feeling this? My team feels stretched already, and I can only imagine what this means for our workload and overall morale. Are we going to be expected to pick up the slack? Are there plans to re-distribute the work, or are they just expecting us to absorb it? It’s hard to stay motivated when you see so many colleagues let go, and then you start thinking about your own job security and how much more you'll have to do. Anyone have any insights into how management is planning to handle this from a workload perspective? Trying to stay positive but it's getting tough.

It's completely understandable to be concerned after hearing about layoffs. That kind of news always casts a shadow. The uncertainty about how workloads will be managed is a big one. Hopefully, leadership has a clear strategy for reallocating tasks and ensuring those remaining aren't completely overwhelmed. Open communication about the plan, even if it's difficult, would go a long way in addressing the anxiety. Keep advocating for your team's needs.

This is a tough situation for everyone in San Diego. It's natural to worry about increased workloads and the impact on morale. The hope is that there's a thoughtful approach to work distribution rather than just expecting the remaining staff to absorb everything. Transparency about how things will be handled moving forward will be crucial for maintaining focus and productivity. Hopefully, management recognizes the strain and implements supportive measures.
