Layoff season hitting Skyworks?

Been at Skyworks for a few years now and this feels different. Usually, you can feel the ebb and flow of the semiconductor market, but lately, it feels like there's a more targeted tightening happening. Been hearing about reorgs and performance reviews that seem a bit more intense than usual. My direct manager is being super vague about future team needs, which is a red flag for me. Is anyone else experiencing this? Has anyone been asked to make their team 'leaner' or 'more efficient' recently? I'm not looking for gossip, but real observations from people on the ground. Trying to understand if this is a precursor to actual layoffs or just standard business adjustments. The silence from HR is deafening, which, in my experience, usually means something is brewing.

I've definitely noticed a shift in the air lately. The 'efficiency' talk has been constant, and it feels like more than just standard market fluctuations. That vague manager talk is a classic sign, unfortunately. I've been through similar situations before at other companies. It's the uncertainty that gets to you – not knowing if your role is secure or if the team you've worked hard to build is about to be dismantled. The semiconductor industry can be cyclical, but you're right, this feels more deliberate. Hoping for the best, but preparing for the worst seems prudent right now.
