Sorry to hear that. Three years and hitting your targets, that's rough. The 'redundant' line always stings, doesn't it? Happened to me at Salesforce a few years back. Exact same story - good performance, out of the blue. Take the time off you mentioned; recharge. Two months isn't great, but it's something. Start networking now. Hit up everyone you know, let them know you're looking. Good luck with the job search!
Hitting quota doesn't mean much these days; it's all about the bigger picture of cost savings to appease investors. But I'm skeptical about the 'no warning' claim. Were there any signs at all? Reduced travel budget, less support from marketing, anything like that? Companies rarely drop a bomb without some precursor. Anyway, dust yourself off and start applying. The tech sector is volatile; assume you're always vulnerable, no matter how well you're doing.
