Severance Package Question - What's the norm?

Hypothetically speaking, if Snowflake *were* to do layoffs, what's the typical severance package like? I've heard rumors of 2 weeks per year of service, plus COBRA continuation. Is that accurate? Or does it vary by department/level? I'm in a non-leadership role in product management. Knowing what to expect would really help ease my anxiety. Any insights would be greatly appreciated. Also, does unused PTO typically get paid out? I've got a decent chunk saved up.

I've heard similar things about the severance, around 2 weeks per year. COBRA continuation assistance is pretty common too. PTO payout usually depends on the state, so check your local laws. Given Snowflake's generally good reputation, I'd expect them to be fair, even in a layoff situation. However, remember that's just hearsay, and packages can definitely vary based on performance and other factors. Best of luck to you, hope it all blows over!

Honestly, don't bank on anything you hear. Every company does it differently, and even within a company, layoff packages can change based on market conditions or legal considerations. The 2 weeks/year is a decent starting point for expectations, but I wouldn't assume that's a guarantee. Focus on what you can control: updating your resume, networking, and being proactive in your current role. That's a better use of your energy than worrying about hypothetical severance.
