Anyone else feeling the shift at S&P Global?

Hey everyone, been at SPGI for a few years now, primarily in a data analytics role. Lately, the vibe feels... different. Not sure if anyone else has picked up on this, but there's been a noticeable increase in 'synergy' meetings and 'optimization' talk. Management's been pretty vague about what that actually means, which is making people nervous. We just had that big integration announcement with IHS Markit a while back, and while things seem to be settling, there's this underlying hum of uncertainty. Performance reviews just wrapped up, and the feedback was pretty standard, but the usual chatter about bonuses and promotions feels muted this year. Anyone else noticing this? Is it just me, or is the company bracing for something? Trying not to jump to conclusions, but the lack of clear communication on the 'what's next' is starting to get to me.

I've noticed that too. It feels like there's a lot of restructuring happening, and the communication hasn't been the clearest. The 'synergy' and 'optimization' buzzwords are definitely getting old, and it's understandable why people are feeling uneasy. Hopefully, they'll provide more concrete details soon about the direction we're heading. It's tough when the future feels uncertain, especially after a major merger.

The talk about synergy and optimization is definitely everywhere. It's making the rounds in my department as well. While change can be good, the lack of specifics is creating a lot of anxiety. Everyone's trying to figure out what it means for their roles and the company's overall strategy. Hoping for some clarity soon so we can all get on the same page and move forward effectively.
