Severance package expectations - what's standard?
Hey everyone, with all the chatter online about potential cuts in financial services, I've been thinking about what a severance package might look like here at S&P Global, should the worst happen. I've been with the company for a little over 7 years, working in the market intelligence sector. Does anyone have experience or knowledge about what a typical severance looks like for someone at my tenure? Thinking about things like weeks of pay per year of service, continuation of benefits, outplacement services, etc. Any insights from past experiences (even if at different companies, but in similar industries) would be super helpful as I try to prepare myself mentally and practically. Don't want to go in blind if something does come down.
Feeling the pressure - anyone else seeing hiring freeze/slowdown?
Been at S&P Global for about 5 years now, mostly in the data analytics side of things. Lately, the vibe has been... off. My team's been putting a pause on filling open reqs, and I've heard whispers from other departments about similar things. No official announcements about layoffs, but this feels like a prelude. Has anyone else on the platform noticed a significant slowdown in hiring or even an informal freeze? Just trying to gauge if this is a company-wide thing or if I'm just in a department that's feeling the pinch first. Curious to hear what others are seeing, especially in different divisions. Trying not to panic but it's hard not to when the indicators are there.
