SPGI - Performance reviews coming up, what's the mood?

So, performance reviews are right around the corner for us at S&P Global. Usually, this is a time for constructive feedback and career path discussions, but with the general market uncertainty and some internal chatter about 'optimization,' I'm a little apprehensive. Haven't seen any layoff news, which is good, but the pressure to perform seems even higher. Wondering if anyone has heard anything specific about how reviews might be handled this year, or if there's a sense that budgets are tighter than usual. Is anyone anticipating significant changes based on their review? Or is it business as usual, just with more corporate speak attached? Just trying to prepare myself mentally.

I'm feeling a similar vibe. While there haven't been any direct layoff rumors that I've seen, the talk of 'optimization' definitely adds a layer of anxiety. It feels like the focus is heavily on hitting targets, and any deviation might be viewed more critically than usual. Hoping for clarity soon, but preparing for potentially tighter budgets and increased scrutiny on performance metrics.

Yeah, the general market sentiment is definitely seeping into the office. I'm trying to stay positive and focus on my contributions, but it's hard to ignore the underlying tension. My hope is that 'optimization' translates to more efficient processes rather than headcounts. I haven't heard anything concrete about how reviews will differ, but I'm definitely going into mine with realistic expectations about budget constraints and performance expectations.
