Anyone else feeling the Spotify 'restructuring' vibes?

Hey everyone, been seeing a lot of chatter on other platforms about Spotify and 'efficiency drives'. While there haven't been any official layoff announcements recently that I'm aware of, the general atmosphere here feels... tense. My team's been pushed to 'optimize processes' and 'streamline workflows' to an almost absurd degree. It feels like they're setting the stage for something, whether it's cost-cutting or a broader strategic shift. Anyone else in a similar boat? Seeing projects get deprioritized or shifted around a lot lately. Trying to stay focused and productive, but it's hard not to feel a bit uneasy about what's coming down the pipe. Wondering if this is just a normal business cycle or if others are picking up on the same underlying signals.

Yeah, I'm feeling it too. It's like this constant hum of 'more with less' that's gotten really loud lately. My team's been asked to double down on metrics that don't seem to have much to do with actual product improvement, which is a bit bizarre. Makes you wonder what the end goal is. Just trying to keep my head down and deliver, but it's hard not to notice the shift in priorities.

Definitely a strange vibe. 'Efficiency' is the buzzword of the month, it seems. We're getting pulled into endless meetings about how to shave seconds off tasks that were never a problem to begin with. It's creating a lot of busywork and taking away from actual development time. I'm hoping it's just a temporary push, but it feels like more than that right now.
