Interview Prep - Recruiter Screen Tips?

Been at Spotify (content licensing) for 3 years, but started passively looking. Just had a recruiter reach out for a role at a competitor. What kind of questions should I expect during the initial recruiter screen? It's been a while since I've interviewed. Any Spotify-specific things they might ask about (project portfolio, recent initiatives, etc.)? Or is it mostly just a culture fit and high-level skills check at this stage? I'm kinda rusty with the whole 'sell yourself' thing. Any advice is appreciated!

Congrats on the reach-out! Recruiter screens are usually high-level. Expect the standard "tell me about yourself," your motivations for leaving Spotify, and why *this* company. Brush up on the STAR method for behavioral questions. They'll definitely probe your experience with content licensing – be ready to highlight your biggest accomplishments and quantify them if possible. They probably won't deep-dive into projects yet, but have a couple of good stories ready.

Honestly, after 3 years at Spotify, they're probably mostly checking if you're not a total weirdo and that your salary expectations aren't insane. Content licensing is a niche field, so your experience is valuable. Be confident, and don't undersell yourself. Just be prepared to explain *why* you're leaving Spotify; it's going to come up. If you badmouth them, it's a huge red flag.
