Question about Spotify's recent hiring trends

Curious to hear from anyone working at Spotify or who has recently interviewed there. I've been keeping an eye on their job postings and it seems like there are still roles being advertised, but maybe not at the pace we saw a year or two ago. On the flip side, I've also seen some articles discussing their past layoffs and the impact it had on operations, which makes me question the hiring strategy. Is Spotify actively backfilling roles, or is it more strategic/limited hiring? Any insights into the current hiring climate within the company would be super helpful. Trying to gauge the overall health and direction from a talent acquisition perspective. Thanks in advance!

I've noticed a similar trend myself. While they're definitely still hiring for key positions, it doesn't feel like the broad-strokes hiring push of a couple of years ago. My impression is they're being much more targeted now, filling specific needs rather than expanding aggressively. The articles about past adjustments likely play a role in that more cautious approach. It's probably a mix of backfilling critical roles and very deliberate, strategic hires where they see the biggest need moving forward.
