Anyone else get that weird duck email from Stripe?

Hey everyone, long-time lurker here. Saw some chatter on HN about Stripe sending out layoff notices and a duck image by mistake. Just want to confirm, did anyone else here actually receive that? I haven't heard anything directly about layoffs at Stripe, but the duck thing seems too specific to be made up. Was it a mass email gone wrong, or was it actually tied to people being let go? Trying to figure out if this is a sign of something bigger happening internally or just a bizarre tech gaffe. If it was tied to layoffs, hope everyone is doing okay out there. It's always rough news. Curious to hear if anyone has more context or experienced this directly. Was the duck supposed to be a grim joke, or just a pure error? Feels pretty surreal if true.

Yeah, I saw that too! Totally bizarre. I didn't get the duck email myself, but it's wild if it was somehow related to layoffs. Companies often have weird internal communication hiccups, but a duck feels like a whole other level of strange. Hope it was just a glitch and not a sign of real trouble.

I haven't received anything like that, but the duck email sounds incredibly odd, especially if it coincided with layoff rumors. It's hard to imagine a company sending out something so random during a sensitive period unless it was a truly epic-level communication error. Definitely a strange story circulating.
