Rant: The endless meetings are killing me...

Seriously, does anyone else feel like they're spending 90% of their time in meetings and 10% actually building things? I'm on the sales team and I swear half of these meetings could be emails. It's impossible to get anything done, and then we're scrambling at the end of the quarter to hit targets. I'm burning out so fast. The pressure is mounting and it doesn't seem to let up. I love the product, but I'm seriously considering leaving if this doesn't change soon.

I feel you, man. Been there, done that. I was on the product side, and it was the same thing. Endless stand-ups, grooming sessions, retrospectives... it was meeting overload. I started blocking out chunks of time on my calendar as "focus time" and declining meetings that weren't absolutely essential. It helped a little, but ultimately I had to switch teams to find a better balance. Good luck!

Seriously? Meetings are part of the job, especially in sales. It's how you coordinate, get updates, and strategize. Maybe you need to work on your time management skills or learn to contribute more effectively in those meetings. If you're truly spending 90% of your time in meetings, you should discuss this with your manager to optimize workflows and address the high pressure environment that's impacting your targets.
