Stripe severance details - what's the real scoop?

Seeing some chatter on other platforms about Stripe layoffs, but nothing concrete confirmed on here. If there *were* layoffs, what's the general understanding of the severance package? I've heard varying numbers, from a few weeks per year of service to much more. Curious about things like COBRA subsidies, outplacement services, and equity vesting acceleration. Trying to get a realistic picture in case the worst happens, or if anyone has gone through it and can share their experience (anonymously, of course). It's tough out there and people are trying to plan.

Heard whispers too, but nothing official. If there are layoffs, I'd expect Stripe to offer a pretty competitive package, given their reputation. Usually, companies that treat employees well during tough times tend to offer decent severance, often based on tenure. I'd look for details on benefits continuation and any support for finding a new role. Hope it doesn't come to that for anyone.

It's stressful not knowing for sure. From what I've seen with other tech companies recently, severance packages can range widely. Some offer a standard few weeks, others a more generous amount plus extended health benefits. Equity vesting acceleration is a big one for many, and outplacement can be a lifesaver. Fingers crossed the rumors are just rumors, but it's smart to be prepared.
