Is this the new normal for T-Mobile? Profits up, yet layoffs continue.

Seriously, another 5,000 people out the door. How many times are we going to do this? The profits are apparently still rolling in, yet the company continues to make these cuts. It's hard to reconcile the public image of T-Mobile with what feels like constant workforce reduction. I remember the hype around the Sprint merger creating a stronger, more efficient company, but it seems to have translated into fewer jobs. What's the long-term play here? Are they just bleeding the company dry to show short-term gains for shareholders? It's demoralizing to work hard and constantly see colleagues get the axe. Anyone else questioning the leadership's direction and strategy? Feels like we're on a treadmill that keeps speeding up.

It's definitely a tough situation to see layoffs continue when profits are reportedly strong. Many companies are consolidating and streamlining after mergers, and it often means difficult workforce adjustments. Hopefully, the long-term strategy does involve growth that eventually leads to more stability and opportunity for remaining employees, rather than just maximizing short-term gains. It's a common concern across industries right now.
